Glucose & Hemoglobin A1c

Elevated blood sugar (diabetes) can lead to serious health problems. It is the leading cause of kidney failure and blindness. Diabetics experience strokes and fatal heart attacks more often than other persons. Healthtech measures the blood level of glucose (blood sugar) and also the hemoglobin A1C (this latter measurement indicates the average glucose level over the last two to three months). Many persons have harmful levels of blood glucose and yet are not aware of this condition as symptoms may not manifest until damage has been done.
